Update February 25, 2008

Hey Everyone!!
It has been too long since we last updated our blog, it is something we would like to try and stay on top of.

A lot of stuff has happened since the last time I posted on here. Bev and I are currently living in Stony Plain, Ab. Friends of ours were transfered to Scotland through their work and as a result offered us to stay at there home, RENT FREE!!! We are so thankful for Wes & Nicole and their generosity. It sure makes life much easier while I am going to school knowing that we don't have to dish out $1000 every month for rent. Bev is looking for a new job once again due to some strange unforeseen circumstances with her last job. Please join with us in prayer that the Lord will provide Bev with a new job that she will enjoy and be able to provide for us.

This semester has been insanely busy for me as I have been doing my IPT (first practicum). This semester is condensed making each class pretty intense. I am looking forward to doing my student teaching which I start next week. I got a placement in a Catholic High School in Edmonton and will be primarily teaching high school social studies. I will be in the class for 5 weeks. I look forward to the opportunity to teach, it will be a nice change of pace from being a student at the university. I have been continuing my spanish training as well. I am taking classes at Edmonton Hispanic Bilingual Association. Classes are every saturday for 2.5 hours. I will be taking another spanish class through the university in may for 3 weeks.

Bev and I are still youth leaders in our church. It has been a good opportunity for us to spend time with these youth and try to be a support for them. The size of our group has been fluctuating this year. It amazes me how youth these days are so busy with school, work, friends, youth group, sports, music, etc...

Bev and I are also planning on going out to Mexico for two weeks this summer along with a team from our church. We will be going to Ciudad Juarez for two weeks at the end of July to work on a Abandoned Girls Home which is being constructed right now.

Please continue to pray for us as we seek the Lord's Will in regards to what He would have us do after I complete my university in April of 2009 (Just over a year from now!!!!)
Thank you for taking the time to peek into our lives a bit. If any of you have any questions or would just simply like to converse feel free to drop us an email at driedgers@gmail.com.
God Bless,
Dale & Beverly
