IGNITE

Hey everyone!! We just returned from Wainwright, AB, where we took youth from our church for a youth conference called IGNITE. We had just a great time. It was a really fun yet super good weekend spirtually as well. It was great to be able to take the youth to this event and see how many of them were refueled in their walk with Jesus. Sid Koop spoke and did a tremendous job in connecting with the youth and sharing truth with them. There was a great worship band from Briercrest College as well a a dance team from there, both whom did a great job in portraying Christ. We were also able to attend two concerts. One by Everyday Sunday and the other by Manafest. The first concert was alright but not really my type of music. The second was a rap/hiphop concert and although I am not really the biggest rap fan, we had a blast. Dade and I along with a few of our youth did our best job moshing horribly. It was hilarious to say the least.
Upon our return on Sunday afternoon, I had to get some songs prepared for a baptism service in which I was asked to lead worship. To make a long story short, there was too much to do in too little time and we actually were about 15 mins late for the service. I felt so bad, never have I been late for something like that. However everything went alright.
Life continues to be busy and I am looking forward to a bit of a break from school next week. But God is good and has been faithful in granting us the ablity to continue and give our all to work, school and youth work.
