I guess it is time for me to update you all about what has been going on in our lives.
Since the last post we have had a few quite dramatic experiences. Bev had started a new job toward the beginning of February and was really excited about this job. We had prayed that God would provide a new job for her and after much prayer she finally did receive a job. She had been looking for something that was Mon-Fri with no evenings. The job she received was exactly this and was a bit of a pay raise from what she was making at her previous job. It seemed like the perfect job. But we were thrown a bit of a curve ball on the end of the second week of her work there. Her supervisor found out that she was related, through me, to one of their former employees who had left the company start his own business a few months prior. On the friday of her second week Bev arrived at her work after lunch only to be told that she no longer had a job. I have left many details to protect the other people involved, but to say the least it was not a great position to be put it. We were really confused as we truly felt that this had been the position that God had provided for Bev. But we kept praying, trusting that God would provides another position and that He would continue to take care of us as He so faithfully has in our lives. No more than a week later Bev was referred to a new position and got a new job. She is being paid a bit more than the previous job and we can see God's hand in the provision of this job. It is really neat to see how God works! We still do not understand why Bev needed to go through this experience, but we trust that it was a part of God's plan, something we often cannot fathom to understand.
On another note, I have just completed my first week of practicum in the high school. I really enjoyed the week that I had, and look forward to being in front of the class for 4 weeks starting March 25. I ask that you keep me in your prayers as I try to shine the light of Jesus Christ in a very religious Catholic school.
We have had beautiful weather these past few weeks. It feels like spring outside. It is hard to believe that I have only had to wear a light jacket since the end of February. I am sure that we will get hit with another bout of winter, it just seems too early for spring even though I would gladly welcome it!!
God Bless you all!!
