June...Come and almost gone!

Hey everyone, sorry that we have not been updating this as often as you might wish we did. But hey here it is anyway. Well, hmmm, let me see what has occured in our lives recently that is of interest? Well, Bev and I went back home to La Crete a few weekends ago. It was the first time that we had been back since January, so to say the least, it was good to see everyone again and just touch base with family/friends that we have somewhat lost touch with since we moved out to Edmonton. It was also good to go home and not have to worry about having to be thinking about spanish homework as I wrote my final exam. It was a good feeling knowing that I could focus on something other than school for a while. Nine months of university can have a toll on a person. But all in all the school year went alrught and I am sure come September I will be ready to go back again, I hope anyway.

Prayer Item!!
I guess Bev and I have something we would like to ask you people to pray for. We are considering on taking our summer next year and give it in service to God. Ever since I have started to study spanish I have had the desire to take what I have learned and use it for God. I personally also feel that spending three months in a spansh speaking country would also help me to get a better grasp on the language as well. As I have been sharing this idea to Bev she has gotten all excited and thinks that this would be a good idea. We are currenly looking at going to northern Mexico with a missions organization called YUGO Ministries. So we ask that you would join us in prayer as we continue to seek the Lord's leading in this area. Although we are excited and personally feel that this is what we want to do, we do NOT want to go if it is not God's plan for our lives.

What else is happening?
This weekend Bev and I are helping chaperone (sorry for the spelling) the youth campout from our church. We are going to Pigeon Lake, about an hour south of Edmonton. Pray for our safety and that we will have a great time along with the youth.
Next weekend we are going to open our Christmas present from this past Christmas. Okay, I know this may sound a bit out of the ordinary, but Bev's parents bought us a trip to Belize for christmas and on June 17th we are flying from Calgary to the beautiful country of Belize. We will be out there for two weeks returning back to our home on July 2nd. We are really pumped about this opportunity. Bev finally gets to see the country and the people that have deeply influenced my life and I am just thrilled to meet up with some old friends, shoot some crocs and snorkel in the caribbean sea. We wiil definately post a bunch of pics when we get back.

Quarter of a Centrury
Yeah, yeah I know, it does sound kinda old. My birthday is tomorrow, the big 25, whoo hoo!!!
